MAKING CONTENT ACCESSIBLE TO ALL
Closed captions are important because they help describe every audio element that plays a role in the wider story, not only the spoken words. Captions remove a barrier to access and ensure that everyone, regardless of ability to hear, can access video content. It brings an added bonus of supporting viewing in mobile or social media, where sound is frequently turned off, as well as providing additional visual support for viewing in high noise areas.
Why Support Lower Cape TV
Lower Cape TV is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. It brings a platform to all residents and businesses to create and share video and TV content.
But wait, there's more! It also runs a professional newsroom, Lower Cape News, which reports on events, issues , and topics that impact to the Lower Cape community.

Lower Cape TV's baseline funding comes from a small slice of the revenue the cable provider generates in our communities, based on the 1984 Cable Act PEG requirements. These funds help us keep the doors open - but it is your help - through sponsorships, underwriting, and donations -- that makes the difference!
